Painting Village

A group of students from the mural department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts were invited to a village in the suburbs of Beijing to paint on the walls of each household. The village committee invited the students with the hope that the murals could attract tourists and help develop rural tourism. The sudden arrival of contemporary art left the villagers confused, while for the art students, it was their first time bringing the art they had studied in academia into the daily lives of ordinary people. What kinds of clashes and conversations will unfold between them?
